The Ontario Science Centre does more than just offer partnerships in science and education to teachers and students as part of curriculum programming. The Centre allows the entire family to experience more than 800 exciting interactive exhibits in 13 exhibit halls. Examples of the types of exhibits include Mindworks, The Human Body, Information Highway, and Truth. The newest exhibit is Timescape - Unearthing the mysteries of Time, and features 20 interactive experiences, as well as special demonstrations, that will help visitors explore the past, present, and future of the mysterious phenomenon that we call time. Explorers will touch, feel, measure, and play with time like they never have before. All the while they will experience several exhibits including Space and Time, Speed Time, Remote Touch, Time Machine, and Clock Towers, to name a few. In addition to the exhibits, The Science Centre presents three different films in the Omnimax Theatre. Here, movie-goers will feel as though they have explored the deepest ocean, soared through space, or are a part of the making of special effects. By the way, there is an additional charge for the Omnimax Theatre. There is so much to see here that it is almost impossible to cover the entire Centre in a single day. Your best bet is to pick up a brochure at the entrance and select the exhibits that seem most interesting to you. Most exhibits are suited for all ages. From downtown Toronto, take Don Valley Parkway, exit at Don Mills Road and follow the signs to the Centre.
