Designed as a tribute to the late Glenn Gould, a piano prodigy and product of Toronto, this 300-seat performance hall/recording studio may be the city's best venue to hear and see musical talent. The space is intimate, the sound sublime. The studio is situated on the ground floor of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's head office and was acoustically designed as a perfect recording studio - with and without audience. The performance, ranging from classical to Celtic, rock to reggae, is usually taped for presentation on the national CBC airwaves and often the performance will be live. Artists also use this space to record their own CDs. This truly is a music lover's dream concert hall. Actually, make that `mini' concert hall.
